One of the best tours on the bourbon trail. The distillery and the bottling locations are separate. But, the tour cost when we went was only $5.00 and includes a tasting. Our tour guide was Tobie who is a native Kentuckian and a sparking personality. She gave us a wealth of information and was very entertaining. The architecture of the distillery and the unique Four Roses process make this a not-to-be-missed stop on the trail. Once you've heard the process of making bourbon, other than different mash bills, you might think they're all the same. I won't ruin the surprise, but Four Roses does something that I believe is unique to them. The company's history is also fascinating. The bourbon itself is very drinkable and unpretentious. The price is great compared to some others. The gift shop had very reasonable prices. I won't say which one, but we visited another distillery the day before where t-shirts were literally three times as expensive. I picked up a couple of Four Roses tumblers for a fraction of what the other distilleries were selling them for. I highly recommend the tour and, if you can, ask for Tobie, if she hasn't been promoted into sales or management by then.

Wonderful experience today. Our tour guide Tobie was amazing. Very friendly and knowledgeable. She made the tour so much fun. Plan to come back and hope we get her again. We came down from Cincinnati and plan to tell our friends who want to come how great the distillery was and how our tour guide made it all the more fun. Best tour we had this weekend and this was our 3rd.

The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the distillery was under construction so we didn't get the full experience. To their credit though we did get a reduced price because of it. Besides that it was great. Tour guide was funny and engaging. Tasting was good and we got to keep the glasses from it!

Came for a tour and tasting. Asked for that. Clerk sold us tickets to the tasting only. Wouldn't be a problem except for that they dont allow you to do the tour after the tasting. Make sure if you want the tour you are getting the tour because apparently the clerk wont. Asked for a discounted tour ticket for the next day and was promptly denied. The bourbon was good but definitely left with disappointment and a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be returning or recommending this place.

*This is only a review of the distillery tour/experience* We drove 20 hours in the car with my wife and infant son to meet our friends for the first time in years. We were all celebrating my birthday this weekend and visiting many of the distilleries in the Louisville area. Along the way however, my wallet was stolen at a gas station. Thankfully we had a backup credit card and I always keep a picture of my photo ID in my phone. After touring for two days only Four Roses was not sympathetic to this situation, and refused to allow me do the tasting. To be clear I understand that they are within their right to do this. I didn’t have a valid ID and they hold all the liability. I’m giving them one star because every other distillery understood this bad situation and was accommodating in some way. Even after showing the Four Roses manager 5 of the 6 photo ID's in our group, explaining how far we had driven to get here, explaining that my wallet had been stolen, showing her a picture of my state issued ID in my phone, and the fact that my wife and I had an infant son with us, she was not willing to budge. All-in-all, I would think twice before visiting Four Roses. They are very strict about their policies and in general took the fun out of this experience.
