I love the high line. One of my favorite places for a quiet walk in the city. It's gotten busier in the last few years, but it's still wonderful. To this day it's still not super touristy. Highly recommended. Of course, it's Manhattan, so there are excellent stops for food and drink along the way as well.

Great place to get away from the city without really getting away. This man made park sits on an old railroad track, and it’s truly amazing what they’ve done to it. It’s a nice walk with little attractions along the way. Definitely a must visit if you’ve never been. There’s plenty of space to sit on the grass, maybe have a picnic, there are also benches if the grass isn’t your thing. There is always something being featured, artist works, etc. sometimes you can see some very unique pieces.

This place is awesome. For parents or anyone bringing children watch out for the guy who pretends to offer free painting community experience for a "donation". Right after the children starts drawing or painting, he'll tell you about the mandatory 5 dollar donation. That's completely fine but seriously it should be told up front. There was a lady next to me who didn't have any cash who he essentially forced to dig through her back for 68 more cents. She ended up having to explain to her second kid that he could draw with his brother because this guy is charging money.

Excellent way to convert an old railway into something beautiful and very unique. The walk itself took about 20 min, however if you do walk a bit slower and like to browse around it may take slightly longer. I would also recommend visiting it in Summer or Spring when the plantation is much greener and brighter. It does seem dull and dismal in Winter especially but non the less is still a beautiful walk. The walk is primarily flat with no steep inclines of declines, so it suited for all ages.

What used to be a cargo railway track has been beautifully revitalized into a lovely park/walkway. A walk from one end to another walks you through different zones and the walkway landscape and design changes accordingly. The views from all parts is brilliant especially the lovely view of the Jersey City skyline at dusk. Best season to visit would be spring and summer.
