It’s a landmark, and an observation tower. It’s not cheap to visit. It is nice to have views over the city. Think about the weather conditions before you visit. I visited on a sunny day, but there was a bit of smog, so the views were not as good as they could have been. The lift ride was fun. The facilities are very clean and well maintained. There was lots of staff available to help. There is a large shopping mall at the base of the tower.

There can be lots of visitors, especially over weekends and holiday season; however, the crowd is wonderfully managed and the queue in front of the entrance moves quite fast. The view on top is superb (does not make too much difference for going to the highest observation deck), especially right before it gets dark in the early evening -- Mount Fuji can be clearly seen if the sky is clear, yet the city starts to get lit up like galaxy. A scenery once seen never forgotten.

Great shops and restaurants as well am amazing 360 view of the lively city. Been here during the day and night and both times the view was awesome. I recommend going just before sunset to get the best of both. A bit on the expensive side (close to 5000 yen per person) if you want to go to the highest level but for those who appreciate the view, I think it is worth it. there is also a glass floor where viewers can look down from.

Affordable landmark allowing you to see most of Tokyo. It's newer than Tokyo Tower and has frequent exhibits in the upper levels. When it's too crowded it can be hard to get some good views in but there's a lot of space so usually it's not a problem. Also the restaurant is cute and usually has themed food matching the exhibit, however it's quite small so the wait can be too long.

Great sights and great shopping! The Skytree observation tower is a work of wonder by itself and the views from 350m were awesome enough. We went in the evening and there was a short queue. We were up on level 350 in ten minutes and enjoyed the view of the sun setting over Tokyo. The winter sky offered a clear view of Mt Fuji and it was momentous to see the evening pass into night from such a vantage point. Unforgettable! Skytree Solamachi offers plenty shopping, gift-buying and dining. We almost glazed over this attraction but were glad we were here!
