We had a very warm and welcoming staff give us a VIP tour down to see the baby kiwi and incubation rooms. It was hailing very hard and very cold when we came in September, and the lady got us warm by the fire before taking us on the tour. Exceptional Customer service - thank you very much! Hope the Kiwis are well :) 100% recommend to anybody; you need to see the kiwis!

If you'd like to see some kiwi birds, this is the place to come. We learnt a lot about the native kiwi and their varieties here. After walking through the kiwi enclosure, you'll go through to the glacier and West coast parts of the centre, with plenty of info and interactive exhibits. A well stocked gift shop and cafe to boot. Enjoy.

The expensive entry price was daunting but reluctantly paid as I believed I was entering a “wildlife” exhibit. What we saw were two beautiful Kiwis in enclosures that were hot and humid. That was it and it lasted approximately 15 mins max. The plastic glacier room smelt like wee and was very unpleasant. I am only hoping that our money did go to conserving the Kiwi population and not some fat bellied business man! Snap

The best of 5 kiwi houses I went to. Easy to see the birds. The behind the scenes tour is worth the $ and permitted kiwi photos.

We took the $58 tour with backstage tour. Worth it to see the kiwi up close and the staffs are super great at explaining everything of the kiwi. Glad that part of the entrance fee will go into the conservation of the baby kiwis.
